Becoming a member of beccles society of artists

The Society welcomes enquiries from anyone interested in becoming a member. You do not need to be an practising artist, just have an interest in art. Once a member you are free to attend as many or as few monthly meetings as you want to. Entering artwork in the exhibition is encouraged, but optional.

Membership enquiries should be made to Carole Kemp on 01502 677386 or by e-mail to becclesartists@hotmail.com. For existing members, membership for 2017 will cost £20.00 if paid by end Jan 2017 and £25.00 if paid after this date. For new members the membership cost is £20.00 which is reduced for those that join late in the calendar year. Yearly memberships can be purchased as a gift for someone - an ideal Christmas or birthday present! The recipient will receive a card saying the membership has been purchased for them.

At the bottom of this page is the Beccles Society of Artists Constitution.

Students - those in full time education can receive free membership to Beccles Society of Artists. This is funded by the Frank Delf fund - a bequest from the son of Frank Delf (a founding member of Beccles Society of Artists) to encourage the growth of art in Beccles. Adults will need to provide evidence of being in full-time education, e.g. a valid student card.

If you are interested in becoming a member, the Programme and events page will give you an idea of the speakers and demonstrations that happen at our meetings, as well as other activities we have planned. Please don’t hesitate to contact any of the committee members if you have any questions – details on the Contact page.

The Society’s meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month at the Waveney Centre, Newmarket, Beccles at 7.30 pm. You are very welcome to attend one meeting free-of-charge prior to joining, please let one of the committee members know so we can look out for you.

The entrance to the Waveney Centre can be found down the passageway to the left of Hughes Electrical. The postcode for satnav is NR34 9HE.

A map showing the location of the Waveney Centre can be found at the bottom of this page.
